Mentor Program

This year we are piloting a new mentoring program called the 'Club for Young Achievers' at Willow Oaks School in Menlo Park. Join us on Monday and Thursday afternoons from 4-6p.m. and help make a lasting difference in the life of a kid.

New Creation Home Ministries

Every third Tuesday of the month, Sanctuary volunteers provide child care for young moms at New Creation Home in East Palo Alto (www.newcreationhome.org) while they are participating in classes that encourage academic, vocational, parenting, life skill, and social development.

Ecumenical Hunger Program

Experience Sanctuary's new initiative to expand operational hours of the Ecumenical Hunger Program (EHP), an MPPC local mission partner in East Palo Alto, to include a Saturday each month. This allows the working poor to utilize emergency and training services otherwise unable during the M-F workweek. Activities include interfacing with clients, preparing clothing & food boxes, and having fun together. This program will include food line distributions with Second Harvest Food Bank in the summer.

Safe@Home

Sanctuary is partnering with Rebuilding Together Peninsula to rehabilitate houses of low-income and infirmed owners in our local neighborhoods as ministry and fellowship opportunity. Come help express God's love for our neighbors in their own sanctuary. Any construction skill level welcome.

Clara-Mateo Alliance

Join fellow Sanctuarians for evenings of games, song, education, and dessert at our adopted homeless shelter, the Clara-Mateo Alliance (CMA), in Menlo Park. You will be inspired and touched by young families and single adults who have been affected deeply by this economic downturn. While we may not take persons out of a homeless condition, we can walk with them in it, impressing upon them the love of Christ doing so.
